People say “money makes the world go round,” but I believe that, really, it's coffee.

Coffee Clock Espresso Shot

It is the first thing I think about when I open my eyes in the morning, my first choice after a meal, my go-to
option for a business meeting or a light family get-together, basically my solution for just about
anything.

A few cool facts about coffee…

  • Coffee beans are not beans at all. They are actually fruit pits. Coffee comes from a tree or bush that bears cherry-like fruit. The coffee “bean” is the seed that resides within the fruit.

  • Coffee contains a lot of antioxidants, which may prevent or delay some types of cell damage by helping the body fight chemicals called “free radicals.” This means that drinking coffee could help protect you from a number of diseases.

  • Espresso actually has about a third of the amount of caffeine than a regular cup of brewed coffee.

  • Definition time: in Italian, espresso means when something is forced out. This refers to the way in which espresso is made. It is coffee brewed by forcing nearly boiling water through ground and pressed coffee beans.

  • Did you know that coffee loses caffeine when it is roasted? So, yes, my friends–a dark blend of coffee actually has less caffeine than a lighter blonde roast. Don't let the color fool you.

  • The fat content in milk causes the human body to absorb caffeine more slowly, meaning that it weakens coffee. Need a stronger boost? Just add less…

  • Burn baby burn! Studies show that drinking caffeine can increase your metabolism by up to 11%. It’s one of the few chemicals that help you burn fat in cells without you actually having to move.

Let’s go burn some fat ;)
