At Latte Booth, we prioritize the safety of our employees, the security of our data, and full compliance with federal and provincial regulations in Ontario and British Columbia. We have hired an external HR Consultancy to run our yearly HR Audit and compliance check, train our workforce and be on call when needed. We ensure that all contractors and employees go through a structured onboarding and training process and feel safe in their roles through regular communication and role related training.

Workplace Safety Compliance

Ensuring a safe work environment is our top priority. Latte Booth is fully compliant with workplace safety regulations across Canada, proactively meeting and exceeding all standards required under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and British Columbia’s Workers Compensation Act.

    • WSIB (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board): Latte Booth is a registered employer with WSIB, ensuring that our employees are covered in the event of a workplace injury. We maintain up-to-date records and adhere to all requirements for injury reporting and return-to-work programs.

    • Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA): We follow all OHSA mandates, including workplace hazard assessments, emergency preparedness planning, and mandatory training programs for employees on safety procedures.

    • Mandatory Training Programs: Our team members complete government-mandated training, including Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training, first aid, and workplace violence and harassment prevention training.

    Employment Standards Act (ESA): We adhere to ESA requirements, including regulations around hours of work, overtime, vacation pay, and leave entitlements to ensure employee well-being and legal compliance.

    • WorkSafeBC Registration: We are fully registered with WorkSafeBC and actively comply with all workplace safety regulations in British Columbia. This includes submitting required reports, ensuring workplace inspections, and maintaining health and safety training programs.

    • Workers Compensation Act Compliance: Our policies align with the Workers Compensation Act, providing coverage for employees in case of workplace injuries and offering effective return-to-work strategies.

    • Occupational Health & Safety Programs: Our safety programs align with WorkSafeBC standards, ensuring employees are protected from workplace hazards through risk assessments and proper safety protocols.
